Hello and welcome to my website.

My name is Alex and taking care of animals is a strong passion of mine. Whilst at school i was given the opportunity to take one day out a week to go to Brooksby collage for a period of two years, where i took a course for farming and horticulture, this is when i knew i belonged outdoors working with animals.

The course i took covered a wide range of things such as sheep sheering, lambing, hoof trimming, tractor driving, plants, trees, brick laying, and fencing. I chose to work with animals the day i left school in 2005, after being offered an apprenticeship after completing my work experience at Lychgate Farm in Burbage.

Over the years working at lychgate riding school, i had gained my NVQ level 2 and 3 in horse care, my BHS stage 1 and 2, horse owners 1, 2, and 3, and my riding and road safety test, resulting in me becoming their yard manager.

After 8 working at lychgate riding school for a period of 8 years, i unfortunately had to quit my role there after my son was diagnosed with cataracts at just 4 months old, which resulted in me having to stay home and take care of him, with continuous trips to the Leicester Royal hospital over the years, whilst my husband went out to work building his business, and working all of the hours under the sun to support us. Now my son is older and more independent, along with having two other children and animals of my own, it gave me the opportunity and drive to start my own business in 2022 doing what i love, and that is working with animals.

Thank you for taking your time to read about me, please feel free to continue looking through my website,  hopefully i can be of assistance.
